The Village of Round Lake is a retail-friendly community. Our population has tripled within the last five years due to new residential development. We welcome you to be a part of the economic vitality. The Village's staff will handle your project professionally and expeditiously.
The Village of Round Lake requires any new business or a re-locating business within the Village to complete the business application packet. Please submit the completed packet to the Administrative Department at Village Hall.

Approval for Signs or Facade Modifications
In addition to a business license, two approvals are required for signage, façade modifications and new developments in all zoning districts:
- A Certificate of Appropriateness must be obtained from the Architectural Commission (ARC).
- Please contact Karen Baker or 847-546-0963 to schedule a meeting before the Architectural Commission.
- A Building Permit must be obtained from the Building Department.

Home Occupations
Please note that currently, there are no permits or fees; however, we are requiring interested parties to complete the application form.
