Annual Senior Citizen Utility Tax Rebate

Round Lake Residents over 65 years of age are eligible for the annual senior citizen utility tax rebate of $50.00. New applicants should fill out the application form and provide a picture identification card and a copy of their gas or electric bill (This excludes the water bill). To simply renew the rebate, only a copy of the gas or electric bill is needed. The first day to file is January 2, 2015 and the last day to file is March 31, 2015. Only one rebate per address is allowed. Checks will be mailed to rebate residents in April 2015. More ...

Prescription & Over-the-Counter Drug Disposal at Police Dept.

Our Round Lake Police Department has been awarded a grant from CVS/pharmacy to combat drug abuse and protect our environment by installing a drug collection unit. The new unit will provide residents with a safe and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted or expired medication, including controlled substances but not liquids, needles, razors and other sharp items. Hometown Heroes

The Round Lake Area Exchange Club is recognizing Hometown Heroes serving in the military. If you would like your favorite serviceman or servicewoman to be considered for one of our monthly awards, just fill in the form on the Round Lake Area Exchange Website. This is a great program and there is no cost to families that nominate their heroes, the Club sends them out a care package with items they request, letters from students at RLA Schools, soil from their hometown, a t-shirt and more. SWALCO Clothing and Textile Recycling Collections

The Village of Round Lake is teaming up with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) in participating in recycling clothes and textiles. Round Lake’s Clothing and Textile bin will be located at the Village Hall Parking Lot at 442 N. Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake, IL 60073.
