Lake County Construction Program 2015

Lake County Announces 2015 Construction Program. This year, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will have $137 million in road projects under construction making for another busy construction season! While about $60 million of that is carried over from projects that were started last year, there will be about $77 million in new projects, which are expected to be awarded during the first six months of 2015. The plan includes 24 projects, 11 of which contain non-motorized travel improvements, such as bike paths, or adding bike friendly lanes. More ...

Prescription & Over-the-Counter Drug Disposal at Police Dept.

Our Round Lake Police Department has been awarded a grant from CVS/pharmacy to combat drug abuse and protect our environment by installing a drug collection unit. The new unit will provide residents with a safe and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted or expired medication, including controlled substances but not liquids, needles, razors and other sharp items. The Round Lake Area Exchange Club is recognizing Hometown Heroes serving in the military. If you would like your favorite serviceman or servicewoman to be considered for one of our monthly awards, just fill in the form on the Round Lake Area Exchange Website. This is a great program and there is no cost to families that nominate their heroes, the Club sends them out a care package with items they request, letters from students at RLA Schools, soil from their hometown, a t-shirt and more.
