Hydrant Flushing

Regular fire hydrant flushing allows the Village to reduce sediments and other solids that collect in our water mains thereby allowing us to provide our residents and business owners with cleaner water. The Round Lake Public Works Department normally flushes fire hydrants in the springtime. Please watch for signs when hydrants in your neighborhood are scheduled to be flushed. It is not advisable to wash laundry while hydrants are being flushed because the flushed water may discolor the clothing.
