Sherry Perkowitz has been a Round Lake resident for eleven years. She has a B.A. degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Northern Illinois University and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from National-Louis University. She is currently enrolled in an advanced Masters program for special education. Sherry is a registered leader with the Girl Scouts Illinois Crossroads Council, a senior member of the Round Lake Area Park District Advisory council, and a former coach for the Avon Township Youth Softball Association. She is the chairman of the Village's Liquor Commission, the chairman of the Special Events committee and the co-chair of the Building and Zoning committee. She created and coordinates the Village's Arbor Day celebration and the Round Lake Area Leadership Day activities. Sherry lives in the Prairie Walk subdivision with her 4 children, John age 18, Rachel age 16, Emily age 14 and Abby age 12. Sherry was first elected in 2003 and re-elected in 2007.
