Metra Parking Lot Improvements

Upcoming in the month of August, Metra will be improving the east parking lot by adding over 100 additional spaces.  However, the parking lot will be closed during the construction.  Although the lots at the Depot, Goodnow, and the north side of Route 134 will remain open, the loss of spaces will impact Metra users.  Please plan ahead when riding Metra to ensure that there are spaces available in the lots or you can use an alternate Metra facility.  There are additional Metra stations in Grayslake, both Downtown and on Washington Street.  In Round Lake Beach, there is a Metra station next to the Round Lake Beach Municipal Complex.  Consult the Metra website at http://metrarail.com/ to find train schedules and the locations for other stations to find one that best suits your schedule.  If you have any questions, please contact Metra weekdays 8:00am to 5:00pm at(312)322-6777 or evenings and weekends at (847)836-7000, or the Village of Round Lake at 847-546-5400. 

Also, please note that the Village has placed a freeze on issuing new parking permits due to the lots being filled to capacity daily.  Please note that the lots are on a first come, first serve basis - there is no assinged or designated parking for permit holders.
