Election Petition Packets available at Village Hall

The April 5th, 2011, Consolidated Election will include the following offices to be elected:
Village Trustee – 3 Trustees, each for a 4-year term of office
Courtesy Election Petition Packets will be available at the Round Lake Village Hall, 442 N. Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake, IL 60073, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14th, and during business hours Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You may also download them from the Illinois State Board of Elections website at http://www.elections.state.il.us/
The first date to circulate nominating petitions is Tuesday, September 21, 2010 and continues until the last date of filing.
Candidates may file as an independent or as a new political party. Any new political parties must have a candidate for each open position. Regardless of where you get your packets, ALL packets must be turned in to the Round Lake Village Hall. The first day to file nominating petitions at the Round Lake Village Hall is December 13, 2010, at 8:30 a.m. and the last day to file is Monday, December 20, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
The Village Clerk and employees of the Village of Round Lake will not be able to notarize any petition documents within the packet.
